“Amongst the spectacular gardens and forests of Stanley Park in Vancouver sits the historic Fish House restaurant. Relax while we tantalize you with delicious fresh fish and seafood from the Pacific Northwest. Or sit back at the bar with a micro-brewed beer, glass of wine, or a seasonal martini! For a private event we offer three distinctive rooms, 2 which feature patios opening onto the scenic natural beauty of Stanley Park. Whether holding a corporate event, a cocktail reception, family-style dinner or boutique wedding, we will create a memorable experience for you and your guests.”

About Stacy Sakai
Stacy Sakai is a Canadian artist, based in Vancouver, BC. She spent her childhood in South America, Florida and northern British Columbia. From an early age, her interest in art was influenced by the teachings of her father and grandmother, both also artists.

Over the past twenty years, Sakai’s involvement in the art industry has covered a diverse range of work. Her experience includes writing, work in film, curating, as well as event planning and production for art shows and live performance from here in Vancouver to New York City.

Sakai enjoys painting with freedom to create abstracts that emphasize colour. Her recent work combines her interest in astronomy and cosmology with her unique painting style. Studying the images from the Hubble Space Telescope inspired her to capture the colourful impressions of galaxies and nebulae in her paintings. In this way, she creates work that is abstract, yet specific.

Sakai’s art is a rich fusion of her intellectual interests and her expressive creativity.
